Investigation of the optimum conditions for adsorptive hydrogen storage

Abstract Cryogenic adsorption using microporous materials is one of the emerging technologies for hydrogen storage in fuel cell vehicles. Metal–organic frameworks have been identified as suitable adsorbents exhibiting large sorption at 77 K. With respect to technical realization, this work, deliverable capacity optimal temperature was determined a series MOFs comparison zeolite Ca-A. The defined amount released between maximum tank pressure and minimum back shows which defines optimum operating temperature. This depends on pore size adsorbent chemical properties surface. A number are that exhibit temperatures well above 100 higher temperature, however, typically results lower capacity.
